I think you misunderstand something. For a web application to work you have to put your files in your server’s root directory or in a sub-directory therein because that is where the server will look for files. Your server’s root directory doesn’t have to be the root of your C drive, or your D drive, [...]

Thanks nmfrazer. I will add a picture to the ‘About Me’ page. But it won’t be really myself. I personally hate giving out pictures of myself on the internet. I don’t even do it on facebook. lol

have you ticked/or un-ticked all discussion options in the dashboard? in ‘settings’ ‘discussion’ ? and below the post editor in the ‘discussion’ field? if this is not visible, click on ‘screen options’ near the top right on that page; tick the ‘discussion’ box; then go back to below the post editor, and tick/un-tick the options [...]

I use IE9 with WP 3.1.2 and no such problem. So, perhaps you want to start with validating your site (for both html and css).

The reading that I’ve done on the subjects that for anyone who wants to modify a WP theme should create a Child theme for several reasons. Mayb the most important reason seems to be to guard against loss of changes from future theme updates. My question is, if this is so important, why don’t I [...]

When I follow this all it does is put the code into the title at the top of the browser. It doesn’t do anything to the logo at the bottom. Is there really a solution to the problem?

i think it may just be activated automatically as a feature of the theme. if you’ve tweaked all the other image and media size options then timthumb would be my guess as it can override everything.

@sydney harrel… your ramblings are so mundane… the person seeking assistance has a PC or Laptop with Windows 7 running on it… You may have simply told the person seeking assistance to wipe out their hard drive and TRY to place some opensource flavor of Linux on it when, they are simply trying to get [...]

Are you saying to add just the “font-size:13px” or everything you typed and where exactly would I add it here is what I see under Green.php- <?php header("Content-Type: text/css"); $bg = "#666"; $header = "images/header-green.png"; $logoHover = "#999"; $sidebarLeft = "images/title_corner_left_green.png"; $sidebarRight = "images/title_corner_right_green.png"; $mainColor = "#8d991d"; $sidebarLinkHover = $mainColor; $sidebarHeader = $mainColor; $container = [...]

I’m glad you took my somewhat grim comments with good humor. Interesting… you got quite far into it. I like to make my own themes, but when I do grab a free theme from here, I usually stick to stuff that’s reasonably popular and highly-rated. Many of these do have dropdown menu CSS as standard [...]

I run a site that includes general blog posts as well as event listings. The event listings are posts as well, in their own category called “Events”. When I go to the “Posts” section on my Dashboard, I see a ton of posts because all of my events are listed there, too. I know that [...]
